All articles published in Insight: Cambodia Journal of Basic and Applied Research (CJBAR) are published in full open access. An article processing charge (APC) of 800 USD, applying to each accepted paper, is sponsored by the Research Office at the RUPP. This article processing charge (APC) covers the costs of printing hardcover books, peer review, Khmer or/and English copyediting, and journal management.

All manuscripts (including News, Editorial, Original/Research Paper, Policy paper, and Book Reviews) need professional English or/and Khmer copyediting before printing hardcover books. However, articles in press are made available online for wider access to readers before language copyediting. Articles in Press must be manuscripts that have been accepted for publication at Insight: Cambodia Journal of Basic and Applied Research but have not yet been assigned to a publication volume/issue. Articles in press consist of uncorrected proofs, corrected proofs, journal pre-proofs, and withdrawn articles in press.
